We hope our newsletter helps a bit to mentally support colleagues, family and friends. During this challenging period we are open from Monday till Saturday (and Sunday’s on request) and operating online through Zoom application or face to face at our counselling centre on Bogalay Zay Street. Tuesday Talk- a small conversation can make a huge difference

Through July, we will talk about mental health continuum. On 13th July 2022, Counselled Nora shared about Illness-wellness continuum, which is an illustration that draws a connection between the illness paradigm and wellness paradigm. Generally, there are (4) phases in mental health continuum such as (1) healthy, (2) reacting, (3) injured and (4) illness. Mind Body Reset Challenge 2022 Reward Winners

After passing 4 weeks of Mind Body Reset Challenge 2022, on 9th July the winners were announced on Facebook. We want to send a big thank you to everyone who participated in our challenge and helped making it a success. The winning announcement was made based on (1) daily active participation (2) using hashtag #mindbodyresetchallenge2022 (3) correctly taking care of community’s physical and mental well being by posting on social media (4) the result based on the digital spinning wheel. Counselling Corner appreciates the cooperation with Andy the Trainer, MNTV channel, Pan Pacific, Anawrahta Cruise and of course all the participants and viewers. We hope the challenge made the whole of Myanmar mentally and physically a bit fitter.

Clay Workshop for All

Do you know touching clay induces stimulating neural input from our sensory senses ? This workshop mainly focus on giving participants the opportunity to describe any and every non-verbal modes of expression via a flexible object. In counselling, by using clay, it allows the counsellors slowly to unfold procedural, non-verbal representations, especially when it involves participants who have a hard time to talk feelings and emotions. On Saturday 2nd July 2022, Counselling Corner organised a 2-hour clay workshop at Kokkoya Organic Farm. See pictures here:
