Eaint Wai Wai Tun has served as a mental health nurse at Yangon Mental Health Hospital for two years, gaining extensive experience in caring for various mental health issues. She has closely cared for numerous patients, including those with schizophrenia, depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders such as alcohol and drug addiction. She has acquired valuable experience, and she deeply understands the importance of mental health and the need for detailed care. She firmly believes in the motto, “A healthy mind leads to a healthy body.”
In today’s world, as people face increasing difficulties due to mental health issues, they often seek ways to stabilize their emotional state. As these challenges grow, some even consider extreme solutions. she completed suicide prevention training and has volunteered at a suicide prevention helpline, offering timely support to those in crisis.This experience further strengthened her passion for promoting mental well-being.
Additionally, she has completed both basic and advanced counseling training at Counselling Corner and has thoroughly studied person-centered approaches to mental health care. She values individual perspectives and emotions, helping people accept themselves and navigate change. She continues to study and apply creative therapies such as Music Therapy and Drama Therapy to address mental health challengesAs an experienced health care assistant trainer, she shares valuable knowledge on medical and health-related topics. She also conducts Family Planning Education Courses providing essential knowledge on reproductive health. She is committed to spreading awareness about healthcare and mental health through effective teaching methods.
Eaint Wai Wai Tun loves children and deeply respects their rights. She holds a Diploma in Child Psychology and leads school health education programs aimed at improving students’ physical and mental well-being. With a personal understanding of the connection between children’s mental and physical health, she is eager to offer support. She is particularly interested in childhood trauma, PTSD, and the mental health of adolescents and young adults.
Her hobbies include singing, teaching, solo traveling, and reading. Her passion is to raise awareness about mental health issues in Myanmar and to create a society that prioritizes and understands mental health. Her primary goal is to build an environment where people can easily access mental health support at any time. She is actively working to improve mental health awareness and services, making them more accessible to the public in Myanmar.
