“Mental health deserves to be cared for just as much as physical health.”
Rachel has been working in the healthcare field for nearly ten years. Throughout her healthcare career, she came to recognize that supporting physical health alone is not always enough. She observed that physical pain and illness can also be closely connected to a person’s emotional and psychological well-being. This understanding gradually led her toward counselling and mental health support.
As a nurse in a pediatric oncology unit, Rachel experienced the challenges of supporting children and families through illness, loss, and grief. These experiences strengthened her desire to become someone who could provide meaningful emotional and psychological support during difficult times.
In 2023, while working in the school health field, Rachel began her counselling training. She subsequently became involved in volunteer work, facilitated mental health workshops, and provided Psychological First Aid (PFA) where support was needed.
In 2025, she worked on an NGO project supporting people living with infectious and chronic diseases. Her work included individual and group counselling, as well as supporting clients with behavioral changes and emotional challenges related to their health conditions.
In 2026, Rachel worked as a School Counsellor at an international school, supporting children experiencing behavioral, social, and emotional difficulties. She also worked closely with parents and caregivers and collaborated with teachers through consultations and workshops to better support students’ well-being.
Rachel primarily draws on a Person-Centred Approach in her counselling practice. She believes that positive change can be nurtured through a relationship built on empathy, understanding, acceptance, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Her areas of particular interest include childhood trauma, child and adolescent mental health, and supporting parents and caregivers. With her background in healthcare, she is also passionate about supporting individuals living with health conditions and the caregivers who support them.
Rachel values continuous learning and professional development and is committed to continually expanding her knowledge and skills to provide thoughtful and appropriate support to those she works with.Outside of her professional work, she enjoys handicrafts, cooking, and staying active through exercise.
