Thi Ri Myint Zaw

ThiRi works from a Person-Centered, non-directive approach, providing a safe and
supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She
believes that meaningful growth and healing happen when individuals are met with patience
and understanding, a principle she reflects in her work through the belief that “with patience
and care, every voice can find its way.” Her focus is on helping clients develop resilience,
self-awareness, and practical coping strategies tailored to their unique needs.
ThiRi combines her training with real-world experience to support a wide range of clients.
She has facilitated emotional wellbeing and creative expression workshops, both online and
in-person, including art and clay-based sessions for communities such as garment workers
and the LGBTQIA+ community. Through these experiences, she has contributed to raising
awareness around mental health and continues to apply these insights in her counselling
practice. Drawing on her own experiences of overcoming challenges, she brings
understanding and empathy to her work, supporting clients with guidance that is both
professional and compassionate.
She works with clients across age groups and incorporates healing play and creative
approaches when working with children and young people, helping them express emotions,
build confidence, and develop coping skills in a supportive way. She also works with children
experiencing selective communication challenges, focusing on patience, trust, and gradual
progress.
ThiRi maintains a commitment to ongoing professional development, keeping up-to-date with
current research, training programs, and evidence-based practices. This ensures her
counselling remains effective, thoughtful, and responsive to the needs of each individual she
supports.
