Rebuilding mental health resilience in earthquake affected communities

Counselling Corner Myanmar aims to improve mental health situation in Myanmar through individual counselling, awareness raising, training, preventive workshops and any other creative ways to help people staying mentally strong. In our newsletter we update you on our activities.

Two months after the devastating earthquakes in March, central Myanmar continues to face urgent mental health challenges. Displacement, trauma, and a lack of services have left many communities, especially working class families, experiencing ongoing emotional distress.

Counselling Corner has been on the ground, offering support and outreach.  Recognizing the growing need for long term solutions, we are proud to announce the opening of our new branch in Mandalay.

Responding to emotional unsafety after earthquakes

We’ve just released a powerful video featuring Nilar Aung, one of our counsellors, sharing essential tips on how to emotionally respond to crisis and displacement after the earthquakes. It’s a short yet impactful piece that’s already helping many understand emotional safety better

Our visibility campaign is now live across Yangon and Mandalay! We’re sharing daily mental health tips through billboards to reduce stigma and encourage conversations around emotional well-being.
We invite you to spot them across town and share them with your team.
