Ma Moh graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology and a Diploma in Nursing at Yangon University. She successfully finished training for mental health counselling under guidance of John Hopkins University and passed the Advance Counselling Training at Counselling Corner Myanmar (first batch !).

For almost 10 years, Ma Moh worked at a Nursing and Dementia home in Singapore and throughout her nursing career, she had the chance to develop a deeper understanding of severe mental health issues like Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Mental Retardation, Dementia, etc. In Singapore she also had the opportunity to learn
more about diagnosis and treatment for psychological problems at the Institute of Mental Health in Singapore.

From an early age, Ma Moh had an interest in psychology and counselling and she followed in internal training at the Mental Health Hospital in Yangon and worked for an INGO as Mental Health Counsellor. While working in the development sector in Myanmar for 5 years, Ma Moh provided mental health counselling for PLHIV with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and Substance Abuse by applying CETA (common elements treatment approach). She also worked as a Counselling Supervisor to provide Psychosocial Support for MDRTB patients with psychosocial issues and was lead counsellor at Honest Hour and a volunteer counsellor at Callmetoday (phone line counselling). She has been educated in different approaches and is specialised in anxiety, depression, trauma and substance abuse counselling as well as relationship counselling.

Ma Moh found the non-directive approach of counselling very effective for Myanmar clients with Emotional problems and became passionate about the counselling when she realized that counselling can help people to have a positive impact in their life. She is well experienced counsellor in multiple international and local training specialized in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, CETA, relationship counselling, depression counselling and child psychology.
